Purpose of this tool

This tool provides various utilities for analyzing images used on a particular web page.

Requirements to use this tool

To use this tool, a user should have "Toolkit For Web Developer" chrome extension installed on their web browser.

Supported document types

Nested shadow elements and nested iframe elements are not fully supported by this tool.

This tool also does not support shadow root opened with the closed mode.

Information about features provided in this tool

Display image alt attribute

Displays image alt attributes by replacing existing image with it's alt attribute value.

Display image dimension

Displays image dimensions by adding a new element on the page.

Display image path

Displays image path by adding a new element on the page.

Make all images full size or natural size

Makes images full size or natural size by changing their width and height to their natural size.

Make all images invisible

Makes all images invisible by replacing existing images with an invisible image.

Replace image with alt attribute

Replaces all the existing images with their alt attribute values.

Steps to start "Image utilities"

  • After visiting a specific page right click on it.
  • This will open context menu of "Toolkit For Web Developer" extension.
  • Click on "Open content tools" from context menu this will add a content tool window on a user's screen.
  • Select "Image utilities" from the left drawer menu.
  • After that, "Image utilities" will be shown on right side of the window.
